Every year, hundreds of high school students travel to the annual Steubenville East Conference. Along with three days of inspiring speakers, teens will have the chance to engage in worship, adoration, and confession, all while building fellowship with hundreds of other young people who share their Catholic faith. For years, Ste. Marie Youth Group has traveled to this event hosted by Franciscan University. It isn’t cheap, and attendees and their families have to pay for travel and the cost of the event itself.
On November 16th, our council was proud to support Ste. Marie Youth Group by cooking a spaghetti supper for the parish community! The event raised over $1100 for the youth group to help offset costs for the students going.
Under the leadership of S.K. Bob Garand, PGK, PFN, FDD, and S.K. Mike St. Onge, PGK, our dedicated kitchen team prepared the meal while the students served each table with enthusiasm and care.
Special thanks to Ste. Marie Youth Group’s Youth Minister, Alana Babineau for giving us the opportunity to serve our parish and create a wonderful experience for those working and those attending. Thanks to S.K. Rich Marchand, S.K. Brian Stringer, FDD, Br. Corey Porembski, and the many other brother Knights, families, and students who dedicated their time to a worthy cause! We’re looking forward to seeing you at the next one, and could use an extra hand!
